Thanks! It's all done digital. Bass DI is split into two tracks: -clean tone which highlights lows/subs and top mids (compression-BOD VST-EQ-multiband compression) -overdriven tone which highlights top mids and little bit of low mids (compression-BOD VST-EZMix-EQ-multiband compression)

Hi! I've been using regular electric guitar as bass in my mixes (cheating via pitchshifter) which was pretty bad. Finally, I bought second hand bass guitar (Ibanez BTB400) and I'm trying to get something cool out of it. Here's my first mix - the bass itself is way louder than it's supposed to...

Thanks for tips Adee, attenuating these low frequencies made bass cleaner and gave some room for more volume. I've got a bonus question regarding headphones you're using: DT770pro and DT880pro. Are they viable @ checking mixes? And which one do you prefer? (I'm looking for extra pair for myself)

Yeah, I hear what you're sayin. I have pretty poor listening environment, so I tend to overdo some things (bass in this case). In theory - you can't have a loud mix + heavy low end, right?
