What about impulses for headphone mixing? =D

Hey there, thanks for sharing your impulse! That's an interesting concept to mix with this impulse. I don't know if this was supposed to happen, but when I put your impulse over one of my mixes, it made it sound much better without the need to mix anymore

The best amp in the world!!??

Marshall amps are really great because of that distinctive crunch they have, but Engl amps are among the best amps I believe. The Powerball sounds so massive and metal.

Paramore's sound - Sharing some ideas

That's a really great sounding mix! Did you even have to EQ or compress any of your instruments? I'm always amazed on how lots of people seem to barely do anything and achieve punchy, pro-quality mixes.

Problem with ugly hiss/noise/fuzz with high treble guitar sounds

This is a problem I sometimes have too. The best advice I can give is to keep trying different impulses(if you use them), adjust your amp-sim EQ controls, and sweep around with a low pass filter starting at 10k and moving back until most of the hiss/harshness is gone and your guitar sounds...

The most beautiful metal snare samples (CHARLES J WALL)

There's no need for anyone to be angry with me. I just rediscovered these snare samples and like them a lot. The Andy Sneap forum is also a place where people can share samples with each other, afterall. Necrobumping? :err: I'm not a troll or spammer. I'm just commenting and helping many...

What are you using for reference? 2014

Because I use free vst amps, plugins, impulses, and drum samples, it's almost impossible for me to reference mix because everything seems to have it's own unique, "tones". I think Andy Sneap once said in a video interview that he doesn't use reference mixes, and I also believe it's the way to go.

The best advice when EQing guitars, drums, bass, etc.?

I thought it would be interesting to start a thread where forum members could share some tips as to EQing instruments. Here's my advice for guitar: Try to make sure your initial recording/guitar tone sound great first. I usually just keep the knobs at noon. Then focus only on using a...

    "Mix ready" impulses? (noob question)

Thank you, Redline4. I have a whole folder full of guitar impulses and your two impulses alone practically sound better than all of them. I'm sure your 3 cab IR pack will be amazing as well! :kickass:
