Circus Maximus - Nine: My Review

I did not like Nine. The album just does not grab my attention, I can't imagine a good live show with these songs. The production is a big problem, the debut album sounds so much better and clearer. The vocals are not highlighted and the drums sound muffled. I love the other albums of Circus...

How did you discover Seventh Wonder?

Ultimate Metal Forum. Some fans (Symphony X forum I think) wrote good things about SW, so I decided to check it out. One of my favorite bands already.

What's your favorite song from each album?

WITW: Not An Angel MF: Hide And Seek TGE: King Of Whitewater This band is so awesome. I had a hard time choosing one song from each album.

    New DT Album

I like the instrumental parts, they are great musicians writing great music. But they can't compete with other bands while Labrie is singing like that. Very boring, limited vocals. I'd say the rest of the band even has to step on the brakes and throw a lot of calm stuff to help Labrie and his...

    Jag Panzer Disbands

It's a shame the music industry can't keep a band like Jag Panzer alive. I hope the members can focus on their other jobs for a while, cool their heads and maybe plan a reunion down the road. I imagine they are disappointed with the lack of support (sales, concerts) after releasing the last...

Question about the new album mastering

Scourge Of The Light has the best production of any Jag Panzer album. I wish Casting The Stones had the same sound quality. EDIT: PlasmaShock and steeler6 are the same person, by the way. Apparently, this guy lives to complain about audio mastering...

    Iconoclast spoiler thread

We live in a fast food musical reality where some fans blocked their minds and only like old stuff, which they call "classic". If Iconoclast had been released in 1997, it would be a classic and fan favorite today. If Divine Wings Of Tragedy had been released in 2011, the same people would say...

    Aliens

I'm a huge fan of Aliens. Great characters and a nice story in perfect connection with the first movie. It's not just a movie that fills the screen with creatures dying for a snack. The movie takes its time to build momentum, then keeps the tension and the ending is also superb.
