    SM7b vs Sennheiser e945

I saw somewhere a guy did a bunch of work on modding an sm57 to make it sound like an sm7B but I wouldn't go through the trouble, not to mention the almost zero resale value of a basement experiment

    BKP Aftermath Clips

hey that's the first aftermath clip i've heard with some upper frequency bite to it. I've been on the fence about getting one but all the clips i've heard have sounded pretty dull on the high end. Just curious what were you using before?

Need Advice on a Metal Mix

it's actually a real kit. The problem is our drummers snare sounded really dull and dead. I worked with the sound engineer to try and add some snap with EQ. Are there any tricks to getting a snare to pop more, I really am not happy with the snare either

    bass compressor pedal?

Is this compressor suitable for bass? Are most compressors good for bass and guitar or are there comps made specifically for bass players?

    bass compressor pedal?

Just started playing with a new bass player who isn't to familiar with gear. I was wondering if anyone could recommend him a good compressor pedal to even out his dynamics. We play high gain metal stuff in Drop-A (A-E-A-D-F#-B) tuning if that matters. Thanks!

Solid State Power Amp Classes? Need help

well in case you aren't familiar with the axe-fx it has tube power amp modelling so if the units above color the sound like a tube amp, i'm not really looking for anything that sounds tube-y since i'm already producing that part of the equation. Basically, looking for a flat response full range...

orrrrrrrrr… bring in a 3rd party to "evaluate" your bands tone/mix then it isn't a competion amongst the band it's an unrelated person giving an unbiased opinion

What if a band members tone annoys you?

bring (2) 30ft cables and an EQ pedal and stick it in his loop when he isn't looking and dial it in the way you like and if he adjusts it just keep correcting it lol :flame:
