Today I are mostly listening to Tankcsapda's album "Tankalogica". It's all in Hungarian, I don't understand more than about five words here and there, but that's half the fun, right?

I will be at the Wolverhampton gig, tickets already purchased and stashed away safely!

Fantastic show in Notts last night, the band were awesome! Shame about the beer though, I have no idea in what realm of the imagination someone thinks cans of Tetley's smooth flow is an acceptable drink. Once the band were done, we sloped off to the pub for a decent pint. Or several.

I don't have an alcohol problem, there's still an unopened litre bottle of vodka in the house. That's Saturday night at Rock City taken care of!

I downloaded the album yesterday so I could listen to it on the way home (and my CD came through the post today). I've been racking my brains to think what the album reminds me of and it came to me today - it puts me in mind of Manowar's "Triumph of Steel". Not a criticism, just an observation...

The apocalypse happened and I missed it? I really like Netta's outfit, really cool. But what's with the samurai look? It's just not the same without fur...

Rock City? Well, it's close enough to home and it's near enough to my birthday...the beer's crap but the music will be awesome! I think there will be some ticket purchasing going on tomorrow...

Zagreb to Budapest is easy enough on the train, I've done it before to go to the Sziget festival - flew into Zagreb from the UK and then by train after that. It's a long journey but it's not impossible.

Hmmm...I see a trip to New York in my future! Shame the tour doesn't run back to front, I would have liked to see the band in Vegas but I can't be out of the country before the beginning of March. Luckily there are a bunch of dates just around my birthday too. Time for some more plotting and...

You're just trying to make me jealous, aren't you? Just because I could only go to one gig.... I'm going to sit in the corner now and sob into my tea.

In that case, I had an excellent time! I have to say it wasn't the most friendly of venues but it was worth it for the experience.

I have an enormous bruise on my leg, no idea how I got it (well, there are a few contenders but it's a weird place to get a bruise in a rock club) but aren't unexplained bruises the sign of having had a good time?
