I am a musician of 20 plus years, and a certified audio engineer, instrument tech and builder of pedals and guitars.

I have always been into extreme metal, and the first album that really struck me was Dissections "Storm of the light's bane" when I first heard it at 10 or 11 years old. From then on, I gravitated towards extreme metal (death metal, black metal, grindcore etc). While most of my paid work tends to be electronic or hip hop, I try and spend time recording my own material.

I may be a certified engineer, but I still have lots to learn, and I see every opportunity as one to learn new things.

One of my favorite quotes happens to be Long's Law; "Those who know the least, know it the loudest."

I am looking forward to getting to know the people on this forum, and for feedback in order to make my material better than it is now.

I have access to a home studio for mixing and direct recording, some light vocals, but I rent out an actual studio to track live guitars (when I have the chance.)

My gear consists of a Fender EVH 5150iii 50 watt head, a SS Madisonprophecy 100 watt head, and a Randall RG100 212 combo, with a few cabs (blackheart 112, Marshall JCM900 1960A cab, and a Marshall mode 4 cab.)

For guitars, I have a handmade jazzmaster, a handmade tele, a handmade super strat, a schecter omen 7, a customized ibanez rg7421, a modded epiphone explorer, and a NYE 135 copy, as well as a few acoustics, and unfinished guitar bodies/necks laying around.

For pedals, I have 2 custom Klons, and a noise gate, and about 20 other pedals I have built, but dont use regularly (reverbs, OD's, distortions, fuzzes).

I use ableton Live 8 for serious production and mixing, and I also use Propellerhead Reason 6 for most of my electronic work. I have a collection of IR's and guitar sims, but I tend to run the preamp of my 5150iii into my interface (Focusrite Scarlett 2i2o). Before that, I relied on amp sims and quality impulses, or on close micing my cab in the studio.
