Personally, I would change two things: Make the drums a liiiittle bit quieter (just -0.4db or smth.) and make the lead guitar in melody parts a bit more outstanding from the rest. But one thing is really obvious: your guitars are lacking sharp transients. They are too 'smooth', maybe too much...

Your bass guitar is really rumbling, as you mentioned. Try to isolate those frequencies (around 100-450Hz I think) and cut them well. After that, try to put some serious overdrive and/or tape saturation on it, it well help to fusionize the bass and the guitars. Thin guitars: yes, compression...
