It doesn't really surprise that roope denies alcoholism was the reason he got kicked out of the band. I mean who wouldn't deny it, it's very embarrassing. Just look at any roope interview, he is also drunk or terribly hungover. Or look at COB home videos (cobtv), his drinking was out of control...

That ego thing was just Roopes sad excuse. Laiho tells in his autobiography that they had to kick Roope out because his alcoholism was so severe. He skipped many band rehearsals and arrived to studio almost 2 weeks late and in such bad condition that he couldn't play any of the riffs he was...

I doubt he died of anorexia since he was normal weight in his last moments. And heart failure death doesnt come as surprise, its not sudden death. And if he had heart failure he wouldnt have been able to play guitar and scream on stage for 2 hours straight

Maybe try to get some finnish guitarists to play solos for the album as a tribute. Or get Latvala sobered up to play the leads, after all its his music at least some of it

So his autobiography came out in 2019 and the ending seemed a bit rushed. Wonder if he got the news about some terminal disease back then and decided now is the time to put out a book. But then again, he seemed to be now in better shape than he's been for a long time and his playing was on...
