    Your favourite guitar solos

Allan Holdsworth's solo on Joint Ventures is one of my favorites. It's his style, but really over a Jens Johansson backing, which is freaking sweet, plus the keyboard solo that follows it is the best keyboard solo ever, just about. This is style.

Kill 'Em All - the most influential metal album of all time?

At least 3/4 of the guys who were influenced by Metallica have never even heard of Diamond Head.

Metal bands with melodic female vocals

I'll prbably catch flak for this, but I'm a super big fan of "Stream of Passion's" first album. They're not what you're looking for necessarily, but it's a great album IMO.

    Nile, Origin, Necrophagist like recommendations

I haven't been able to get onto MA for like a week. Finally, I was able to get on it today. This is a recommendation thread for bands similar to Nile, anyways. Oh well.

    Nile, Origin, Necrophagist like recommendations

What does tech death metal have to do with bedroom black metal? I actually came here wanting to check out something new, so I DLed a demo of this garbage. Nice prank.

Worst 'metal' hits of the late '90s & early '00s

Anything by Disturbed or that other Disturbed wannabe band. Any band that wants to be Disturbed sucks. What was their name again...

    Nile, Origin, Necrophagist like recommendations

Spawn of Posession Pavor The Faceless Theory In Practice Although none of these bands sound like Necrophagist, or even Nile for that matter. I'll have to check out some of the stuff mentioned I've not heard.

Kill 'Em All - the most influential metal album of all time?

What album was that again? Only BS album I ever owned was Paranoid and it had one good track.

Kill 'Em All - the most influential metal album of all time?

Metallica were influenced by Diamond Head, but they obviously influenced way more people than Diamond Head did. It can be viewed from both sides of the fence. I don't think that their importance is overrated, necessarily. KEA is probably the most influential album overall for ME, especially...

Metal-Archives: Non-metal exclusion system; what are your thoughts?

Bwahahahahaha, totally agree, but I've seen way "less" metal bands on the Metal-Archives.

    Controversial opinions on metal

Burzum is some of the deepest music I have ever heard, and definitely some of the deepest metal I have ever heard. I haven't listened to him in at least 2 1/2 years. Getting that time, haha.

Metal-Archives: Non-metal exclusion system; what are your thoughts?

I was kind of aurprised that "Periphery" were not on there. If they're not metal then what are they?

Dimmu Borgir vs Cradle Of Filth

Well, I've definitely heard a lot worse than Dimmu, and by those standards I would say they're a 5/10. Cradle is... a 6.5/10 maybe, which is kind of high by my rating scale.

Most inspiring piece of music ever

Steve Vai's "Tender Surrender" Yngwie Malmsteen's... Well... A lot of his stuff... But maybe "I Am A Vking". Worst lyrics ever but most jamming song ever.

Dimmu Borgir vs Cradle Of Filth

Dimmu are really bland and boring. Cradle at least can keep things remotely interesting.
