Well, they`re definitely both great players. Technically, Romeo is more proficient, due to him not always seeming to be limited to alternate picking when playing fast(although he can do it, and when he does, it sure sounds scary...) There are, in fact a few things which makes me choose Romeo as...

A mix of both in my opinion is the healthiest! Romeo says he does both, and uses them whenever he feels like it. But economy picking is probably the most efficient way...

I seriously think he is one of the most unmelodic guitarists on the planet, it`s only fast, with horrible compositions, he does not play that clean at all either. The song I like the most by him is "Dark Matter" or something like that, but that one isn`t any good either. If you want CLEAN...
