    GTA V

The online part of this game is unlike anything I've played before. Loving it. I played in public sessions for a week and enjoyed it, but lately I've been in closed sessions with only my Crew buddies and it's not been nearly as frustrating making money. The mission tasks are sometimes a little...

    Liquid Tension Experiment 3

Yep! First thing I did upon reading the title was Google it! Fuck me, haha. I'm a huge fan of both bands, and would love to see LTE collaborating again. But I've read several interviews with Mike Portnoy since the split, and according to him the Dream Theater guys have shut the doors on him...

Lamb Of God - As The Palaces Burn (Remixed and Remastered)

Wow, the guitars/bass sound so much better with the cleaned-up mids! But those drums sound completely replaced, haha. "Ruin" is probably my favorite LoG song, so I'm looking forward to hearing how it turned out. :kickass:

Dream Theater - The Enemy Inside

Bumpity bump. The new album is streaming in full here: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/dream-theater-channel-prog-metal-in-dream-theater-premiere-20130916 Am I the only one eating this up? Really digging the music direction. I'm a huge fan of Rush and there are obvious nods to them...

    GTA V

I got my copy yesterday! (Microsoft online store GUARANTEED release day delivery thru UPS) Had a pretty good GTA moment last night... (no spoilers I promise) Was doing a mission where I had to evade a few cop cars and a chopper. As me and my gang buddies pulled away in a sedan, a cop shot out...

    New 456 Recordings website

Nice touch on having a mobile site (granted I had some issues navigating but it might have been phone-related). I'm diggin' your live room set up. I bet those high ceilings help a ton.

Good music shows to watch on your couch?

For something not metal, I really love Mutemath's Armistice DVD. They are probably my favorite live band. So much energy, and their drummer can fuckin' GROOVE. Cool camera angles and awesome live mix.

    favorite wah

Good point. The Dunlops I tried were a bit tight with the full pedal motion. And I did not realize how the Morley optical sensor works. That is a big plus in my book! Thanks for the suggestions, fellas! I'll check em out.

    favorite wah

Couldn't find a recent thread about wah pedals, which tells me most people around here don't like them. But I really dig that half-cocked Dimebag sound every now and then, and also think a wide-ranged wah can sound cool if tastefully used (like the solo from Collective Soul's "Heavy"). I also...

Assassin's Creed 3 - 6/10 It lacked most of the platforming/puzzling stuff that made AC2 great, but the ocean combat was cool.

    GTA V

GTA may have started on PC, but I'm pretty sure the Playstation versions are what brought it to the forefront. Consoles, unfortunately, are where the money is for the big developers these days. However, I believe we'll see a PC version (as well as a next-gen console version) announced in the...

I need a new main amp for the studio

+1 for the Dual/Triple Rectifier. I own an old Rectoverb (Singe Rec) combo myself and love it to death. Maybe one day I'll upgrade to a Dual when I can justify it. I think Jens Bogren made a good point in an old thread, and I agree for the most part: I don't agree with them not sounding...

    Darkane - The Sinister Supremacy

Late bump on this one. Just picked this up yesterday and this is the mix these guys have deserved for years. Loving every aspect of the album. Drums sound huge indeed, if a little bit on the raw side. But the playing is captured appropriately. Wildoer has to be one of my favorite drummers...

    James LaBrie - Impermanent Resonance

Just picked it up, and haven't had the chance to listen on monitors yet. But the track "Back on the Ground" definitely brings that low end you're talkin' about. The album has that trademark Bogren drum production (snare in particular), which seems to work in lots of contexts. I like the fact...
