Hope you don't mind I revive this thread, but I'm looking for some good noise rock.
For example I want to find something jazz/groove oriented like Brainbombs, do you know them? Something similar would be good, minus the lyrics about rape and murder...
Here's a song to examplify...
Just finished this like 1 hour ago. Thought it was pretty good, not much to complaint over. Not too many surprises plotwise either though. I didn't hate Will Forte's character as much as I had thought I would, so that's good. And Bruce Dern is always a pleasure to watch.
Ps. You should watch...
Catcher in the Rye. Waiting for me on my shelf is two books by Joe Abercrombie, that is some good and funny fantasy stuff. Also I am trying to finish the first the Dark Tower book, but I must admit it bores me some.
In no particular order: Bathory, Enslaved, Primordial, Katatonia, My Dying Bride, Tool, Skyclad, Fear Factory, Godflesh, Melvins, Type O Negative.

2. Descendents - Milo Goes to College
3. Dead Boys - Young Loud and Snotty
4. Black Flag - Damaged
5. The Gits - Frenching the Bully

Swans are great. Their musical history seems to consist of so many different styles and innovations. I have yet to hear all their albums but from what I know of them they are a one of a kind band. Some of their stuff is hard to get through but ultimately very rewarding once you get into the...
Have to second Dead Can Dance. Lovely stuff. Might also enjoy Clan of Xymox, Empyrium, Lacrimosa, Switchblade Symphony.
And there's this band Life's Decay, they have their music for free download at last.fm: http://www.last.fm/music/Life%27s+Decay
