from what i remember, this came up on the derek roddy board. pete told derek that trey kept telling him to play 16ths, but pete couldnt because its at something stupid like 280bpm. so pete played triplets instead, and then trey messed with them after and added the extra hits to make them 16ths...
i agree man, i couldnt believe it when i first put it on and realised they've got rid of the keyboard intro, reading that interview i understand why they did it now, but still, i love the original, cant get into the remake at all.
ive used this amp for a few months at a practise space, i really like the dirty sound on it, it surprised me coz i thought it was gonna be a piece of shit, but its good.
i think you're getting those two albums mixed up, Epitaph has always had a real drummer, Onset to Putrefaction has been re-released with the drums redone.
maybe because Onset to Putrefaction was re released after Epitaph came out (i think) you're confusing it as the "new album"?
