So I have no idea what I'm doing. Help a bro out.

I had to do this for my mom a few years ago, and I talked her into an iPad. You could go that route and buy a keyboard dock if she types a lot.

    Government Shutdown

Check this to see if you qualify for the tax credit: https://www.healthcare.gov/will-i-qualify-to-save-on-monthly-premiums/ As mentioned this is all your personal business, but hopefully this will help

    Government Shutdown

Question: Do you think we would be having a healthcare discussion had the exchanges opened prior to Oct 1? Notice how this thread is all about healthcare and not about passing a budget..... Our government has passed budgets in the past, and will continue to do so in the future, in which every...

Floating Vinyl floors in a guitar/mix room ?

Is the subfloor a concrete slab (likely)? Do you had moisture issues in the room? FYI... "floating" a floor is an installation method. You can float wood, laminate, and vinyl. You really won't gain any acoustical advantage with the vinyl. If you want to limit reflections in the room, put in...

As I Lay Dying singer arrested in murder-for-hire plot

I would think they should have a voice recording, but they may not even need it. If the prosecution is good, as long as they had the envelope with all the instructions (which they should), then the voice recording will just be the icing on the cake. I read the defense lawyer's response to the...

As I Lay Dying singer arrested in murder-for-hire plot

Pretty shocking, but asking a undercover officer to murder your wife makes it pretty clear what his intentions were. I guess all those prison style workouts he's been doing will be put to good use.....

Are you afraid in a ladder ?

I remember seeing this awhile ago.....as a rock climber myself, I don't think it would be bad as long as you didn't have a heights problem. The part they mention about free climbing is very true and you would be more prone to accident clipping every few feet. I've taken people with little to no...

    building a diy ISO box?

This was right after I built it(literally). This should give you an idea of how much attenuation I get in the room, but I'll throw some clips with it mic'd up in the next few days. I should note there is still some attenuation with the sides still up. The post volume on the Peavey was ~2.5.

    building a diy ISO box?

Pics: The black material is called Acoustiblok. I placed the port on the top panel (in front of the cab), and it exits on the back side of the panel(above the cab).

    building a diy ISO box?

I built something similar; I'll post some pics when I get home. One thing I will say, the box will be extremely heavy. I estimate the one I built weighs roughly 500lbs(not including the cab), but I think it works great. Bracing adds a ton of weight......

    Rant on CL.

I've come to the conclusion they think they are doing you a big favor buying your merchandise. That and they think their time is more important than yours and no one else could possibly be interested in the same item. I've had this happen to me this past week twice, by the same person. The...

    building a diy ISO box?

I built a collapsable iso cab a few months back for my mesa 4x12. Works really well, but the low end can get out of control if you crank it. Here's a post I made about it a few months back.
