i haven't been a regular poster on this board in YEARS and i think i was already gone when he was in the band. so, i've never really talked about what i thought of him... in brief, i was excited at the time, but i watched some of those live clips with him again recently... i'm glad it didn't...
it's going to be great, like all of the recent exodus stuff.
i'm gonna miss dukes though. i think he gave them an edge that they didn't have with baloff or zetro.
i still crank stomp and all the bush era albums the most. my favorite era. worship music is great and great for the band. it's really a great step for them... but i think it has the wrong singer on it.
he really doesn't try to sound like Stayley. Yes, there are parts on the new album that sound like Alice in Chains. see if you can find audio of "last of my kind" you'll see what we means.
i think that also. i remember reading that in an interview when bigger than the devil came out.
they also have a reputation for ripping off anyone who isn't nickelback.
