Gov't Mule John Mayer (as a guitar player/jam band he is underrated for sure)

Yea I went through my phase of this being my favourite song... The opening is pretty epic...

Derelict Herds is a good song but the quality of the rest of the album is just TOO HIGH for that song to fit. It is clearly weaker than all the other songs simply because the rest of the album is just too amazing (sorry for the fanboyish-ness but thats just how it sounds to me)... works...

Absolutely nothing wrong with the songwriting if you ask me. The production is what left me wanting... the only way I can describe it is that it was less "organic" than all the other efforts. Watershed seems much more natural/organic to me and this release really highlights the different...

Yes I woke up today and went to my local retail store right at 10am. I am one of the few that waited t'ill today to listen to any of the material (except Heir Apparent live)...just finished my first full play-through and I am blown away. So much more than I ever expected...well. I guess I did...

I thought Ashes was a snoozefest...pretty uninspired if you ask me...sounds like some of the stuff my band and I jam on after some bong hits... really nothing special in terms of writing in my opinion...but thats just my thoughts.. I can see why people would dig it..it does have some cool...
