suffocation is awesome...but they're one of the most well known death metal bands in general...mainly i'm asking for bands I don't know about, everyone into death metal knows suffocation

Just wondering...if there was a Christian band who played brutal death metal, and you found out about their Christian lyrics, would you still listen to them or just want a musically identical band without the Christian themes? (And no, I am not Christian, but the point still stands...)

I would say they can qualify, since at least one of their albums is devoid of the lyrical themes that turn me off (their last album); the last album sounded pretty good from the songs that I heard from it

Do they have any full length albums without any of those lyrics? If they had some songs with it on some albums, but dropped it entirely on other albums, I could give them a shot... BTW, I updated my original post, with some more bands I want musically similar bands to which don't have those...

No I will absolutely NOT get over it! By your logic, all bands like this should ONLY have those lyrics, and never have lyrics about other topics, ever? yeah, real reasonable. This was exactly the response I did NOT want. BENEFICIAL REPLIES ONLY!

I love the music of many brutal death metal bands, but i absolutely HATE how almost every band seems to have lyrics about violence against women and rape and full blown misogyny in practically every song, if not every song that's not fair to someone like me who is turned off of those lyrical...
