Recently on last three albums I did, I've used Lepou's LE456 in crunch mode and some bass cabinet impulses. Mixed with DI track, it adds a nice grit without being too much distorted (so less high end and fizz, which i tend to cut heavily anyway)

That is EXACTLY what i've been searching for a long time :D It's very useful on vocals, especially when recorded directly into interface shitty preamp. I really like what it does with top end. Thank you very much! :)

I record DI for low end and sometimes mic a cab for distorted track. But i do that only when the room, cab and amp are good, otherwise its not worth the effort. I like 10" speakers on the bass, gives nice attack and quite clear low-mids; i found that 15" speakers are too muddy. Maybe they have...

Nice tune indeed, but whole thing sounds mono-ish. Especially with synth parts. I don't know if that was the purpose, but the vocal is a bit buried sometimes. I like the guitar and bass tones! Bass sounds massive :D

I use NastyDLA almost every time. I really like the way it sounds, always fits into the context nicely. Kjaerhus plugs are quite good indeed. I used to use them, but i can't find any download link anymore...
