Just learn how to use the new start menu , once you get used to it and use a few key commands ( windows key to switch to desktop, win+x to access device management and prefs) it becomes second nature.
even though metro is kind of unnecessary for a desktop it doesn't seem to hamper performance...
I went ahead and did the upgrade ( My windows 7 upgrade was pretty fresh so i didnt bother with a clean install)
This was the easiest upgrade ever, the installer finds new drivers if there needed making it as painless as possible.
plugged my profire in after install and it works just like it...
I anyone using the profire 2626 windows 7 driver successfully in windows 8?

amazing small rig that can pretty much do it all, the low volume mode is perfect for home jamming ( it knocks down the volume taper and uses modeled power section sims)..
