Hey guys!! Does anyone have any suggestion on what amp sim and impulse response to use to get that Trivium tone from Ascendancy album? I pretty much tried everything but no luck at all. Please some help because I 've been busting my head out and I am in a dead end. Thanks

how about this mix??? I checked with spectrum analyzer according to strife and I came up with this. I think its good.

thats why He's Dead,Jim suggested to do an eq matching with Trivium's Strife in order to get that high and bright the right way.

In order to get that character in the highs of the guitar tone in the right way.

When using this reference mix you say should I do it with this chain? guitar di ---> amp---> cabinet----> eq matching or at the guitar bus group??

Nice tone but a would like it too be a little more bright so that it could be more aggresive. Also I reviewed the drums sound and the guitars so I will upload it tomorrow to tell me what you think. What guitar chain did you use?

So between them what would you suggest? ENGL e530 or Laney IRT Studio?

Using ENGL e530 through an audio interface and into an audio track in Cubase and then input in the signal chain an impulse response loader would work? And what about the result? Will it be good or just about the same as an amp sim?

I also consider ENGL e530. Any thoughts?

Hi guys. My eye recently caught the Laney IRT Studio. I liked what I read and heared from reviews but I do not know if it will do me any good. I intend to plug it in directly from usb to Cubase and record using impulse responses. Do you think it would work well and give a good sound? I can't use...
