That would have been a disaster for me... Epica and the Black Halo are in my top ten power metal releases of all time. Ghost Opera was decent but somewhat lackluster in my opinion, so as you said, being on more Conception!

It does matter what Glenn wants though. Whether or not Glenn likes a band is a big factor in determining whether or not that band plays the fest, at least as I understand it.

I personally consider The Winter Wake a small step up from Wyrd with both pretty far behind Heathenreel.

Go ahead and give Heathenreel a try. It was their debut album that in my opinion they've never come close to topping.

Looks like a few very notable metal musicians chose Muse's new album, like Arjen, Eric Petersen, Steve Smyth, Marcela Bovio, and Mille like you said. I'll have to pick that one up, it must be a good one (seriously, Muse is a good band!). Also, its interesting to see which ones are truly die-hard...

I'd love to see them in a #2 or an opening slot. I hope for them to be announced every year!
