I honestly think that yours sounds even better! Congrats, great job!

Definitely the first one, but you should make it more distant and flowing, almost as if there was no attack of the notes. Try using fair amount of delay and reverb on them.

The thunder, actually, is pretty interesting, i say don't take it off, maybe use it a bit more sparsely, like instead of every occuring measure, use it every 4th one. Otherwise, is it two guitars or just one? sounds like centered one...

Great song! I love the drums, but they're slightly too loud. Also it seems like the guitars and the snare is fighting in the master bus in a kind of annoying way. I'd want the guitars to be more upfront! And once again, great song!

they seem too dry, mess around with some delays maybe?

I find the hi-hat very annoying somehow! Otherwise nice mix, fitting the music old school vibe of the music.
