    growls low in the mix

With a different line-up music will sound different. Opeth really pulled out the stops for the softer tracks. Burden is incredible and Hessian Peel is wonderful. Granted, I'm still enamored with The Lotus Eater and Heir Apparent because when they did throw the growls in they were excellent...

    Create-a-Supergroup!

WAIT You mean Opeth ISN'T a super-group? Damnit, why don't people tell me these things?

    Fall US tour 2008

Damnit, they're in Atlanta on a school night. Granted, that won't stop me from trying....

who wants karma on the next tour?

Stole the words from my mouth. April Ethereal too. Opeth was great in May, next time I see them I'd love to hear something off Still Life, that and the title track of Deliverance.

    DELIVERANCE album appreciation

I love both albums but the title track of Deliverance and By The Pain I See In Others just make it that much better.

Best/Worst Opeth Songs to Headbang Along

Blackwater Park is probably the best.

    What Got You Into Opeth?

Quite simply Blackwater Park. I think it was under the itunes thing people also bought. I considered getting it for a bit then one day I was in coconuts looking for something new in the metal section and I saw the BWP album and I was like "Hell the reviews are good, why not?" Put on Leper...

    Atlanta Review

Was awesome as hell, but I was quite hot in the upper balcony. Three was a great opener. I'd easily pay to see them by themselves. Demon of the Fall was an incredible opening song for Opeth. I liked the set-list but a shame they couldn't have played another hour. Akerfeldt is a great...

Led Zeppelin - The Rover & Beneath The Mire intros

I never noticed that before I love "The Rover". Lopez's is a bit more complex though.

Not to be a dick but "Mornigrise" is sorta boring.

While not my favorite I happen to LOVE To Bid You Farewell, I get chills thinking about it.

    Banned

This is probably true actually. Though I actually purchased all the Opeth albums and will be purchasing Watershed on release date... if Coconuts has it. Damn living in a region where metal is not particularly popular.

    watershed cover !

True that. The only symbolism I've ever thought about is the irony that Damnation is the soft clean album (with a light cover) whereas Deliverance is the heavy pounding twin (with a dark cover).

HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU SEEN OPETH?

Never, but I'll be seeing them in Atlanta for the Progressive Nation Tour. Seeing Dream Theater is a nice little bonus too.

I just wanted to say ...

Man that is true. Blackwater Park will forever be my favorite. Bleak just sends chills down my spine EVERY time.

    In OUR time of need.

I'm going to the show with Dream Theater and 3 in Atlanta. I'm REALLY excited.
