Eh, there's lots of music that manages to be super brutal, or at least wicked kick ass and not be very technical at all. Some good death metal examples being Bolt Thrower and Amon Amarth. But in general there's a lot of grindcore out there that's absolutely amazing, and really isn't all that...

eh dillinger is incredibly structured actually. That's why it sounds so random, the more you structure music the more crazy it sounds. But it's good you agree with me about the comparison issue :P. Oh and Necrophagist isn't as impressive as you think. I mean, certainly very talented guitar...

On the other hand, I think it's really hard to compair something like Dillinger and Spiral Architect. For example, Dillinger is a lot less technical, but a lot more intense, and a lot more angry. The two bands have completely different goals. And in general it's hard to compair screamy tech...
