I bet your drums sound really good live but when you have that sort equipment its almost impossible to make them sound professional. I would say you should look into s2.0 and try that out, and if you really like the sound of your drums better you can make your own samples :) As for the guitars...

the vocals sound like they are sitting on top of everything and its really difficult to hear anything else under them minus the drums. The guitar and bass are totally lost in the background.

hmm maybe i just need to bring that one up cuz its definitely there maybe i just made it too quiet, ya im gonna try again once i get the new speakers and hopefully i can make it sound alot better, thanks for the comments

Hey Guys I'm sure this thread my have already been put up here but I was just wondering what you guys use for your snare sounds, is it usually straight from Slate and then onto the recording or do you like to meld different samples and heavily post process it, if so what kind of post processing...

that might be the kick, the one i picked for this mix is a bit clicky for my taste but it works alright with the mix, what do you mean by dull? like not enough high end?

this sounds pretty good but i aagree with theneo on this one your hats and overheads could be a bit loader, you can barely hear them in the first half of the song, and the guitars sound great, what did you use for them, if you dont mind me asking?

haha get a seven string between the old one and the new? I actually think the vocals sound good, very darkest hour esk, the drums clip a bit in parts, and the kick sounds a bit loose and papery, but but otherwise the mix sounds pretty good -D
