Hi srob7001! So I just also ordered a $45 JE-1000 clone off Ebay. Is this the same one you got that you're happy with? From fixit-ez. Also, would I need to drill any holes in the guitar or is it just a push/pull like thr ABQ?

Cool! Yeah, I have the 4500. Not sure if that makes any difference. I think I read somewhere here that they used a JCM 900 as backup. I think I might have seen a show on YouTube where he had what looked like one on and behind him. Don't recal which show though. Maybe Toronto or something...

I actually have no idea if the whole clipping thing with the (my) ALX/ABQ has any merit. I just switched it to "Up, down, up", which sounded the best and most like early 2000's COB to me. I don't hear any clipping...

Interesting! I have some clipping with the ALX / ABQ that my guitar tech couldn't solve entirely so I just ended up putting the little EQ on the ABQ on default setting (if I recall) and now the issue is minimized pretty much but I'm no expert. I use JCM900 head so shouldn't be digital? Also...

So, I've seen this mentioned a few times as a question but found no answers.... Does anyone know if I could use my EMG ALX pickup with a ESP MM-04 preamp instead of the ABQ? If yes, has anyone done this / can attest to the results?

Hi guys! Does anyone have accurate tabs for Towards Dead End? I see so many variations that look different from what the band played live. I'm currently trying to figure out the solo and it's a lot regardless lol
