In all our times together NEVER did we have problems or difficulties in creative ideas or musical material. I normally write riffs and song sequences for a new album in few days to few weeks. We normally end up filtering and leaving aside a lot of material. Orphaned Land's creation is vast...

The intense work on the Warrior of Light continues. today we took a brief break in between the vocals sessions to record some "Shofar", a ram's Horn.

After wrapping up 100% (almost) of all the guitars and traditional string instruments along with the drums and bass, following the Violins comes the instrument of wind - The Flute. We use a variety of flutes in ORwarriOR playing, as usual, Orphaned Land riffs like you like them :rock:

Well, with all these TONS of Riffs and dozens of minutes of numerous string instruments, you really need some rythmic parts to "spice things up", don't you think? So today we're recording the percussion parts for the album, varying from different Darbukas through Pakistanian percussions...

It will be a 2009 release, hopefully an early 2009 release. we're nearing final stages of the work process, it is a complex and diverse project, involving dozens of people in a multi-national involvement and arrangements, with a variety of skills and schedules. but we won't rest until it comes...

We're very excited to come back to France, with all the great friends we have there :-) Also taking a pause in the middle of the intense work on Orwarrior is really needed, totally looking forward to seeing you all very soon. Bisssousss! a bientot!
