FUCK

It was awesome, Oh My God, I shat my pants more than the amount of jocks in the world.

My rating:

10 shits in the pants out of 10.

Lars totally went off in that clip, oh man, the song sounds a lot better than the mp3s circulating, don't be put off by the quality of them.

salty: it was the one just before the COF vid, you're completely correct and right.

Icarus: Well, I had the shitting pants feeeling so much I shat my pants, so I found it a very pant-shitting song on the shitting pants richter scale.

the song was very cool! and the clip was probably the best Metallica one I have seen

very cool indeed!

I know what you mean Todd. There is nothing worse then a 'tinny' snare

OK.

I just watched it a couple of times.

Well...the thrashy parts are cool...but Im not digging the whole slowed down part...and then the bit with the backup vocals all really loud...doesnt sit well with me either..."AND PUSH IT OUT" or whatever the hell he sings.

If the whole song was like the last big chunk of it where its basically flat out all the time I would have said it was worthy of a few pants shittings.

Cool video though.

I found that the "fuck it all and no regrets i hit the lights...etc etc" reminded me a lot of Megadeth. Would have been waaaay cooler if it was a Megadeth song and Dave was singing. Even with the slow parts. Drop the backup vox part though.

Im still interested in hearing the rest of the album. Should be cool.

I've just gotta say one thing, I'm getting sick and fucking tired of people saying the song sounds like Linkin Park! All this because of the backing vocal section!

Um hello... it's called call and response, look it up dickheads!

Another thought... it'd be interesting if one of the prisoners in the filmclip used Metallica as a defense at their trial... you know "the music made me do it"!

It sounds like they recorded the drums in an echoy toilet with tin cans and broomsticks :)

The funniest thing was when they did the free concert for them and James was telling them "'I was guilty of compartmentalizing before,' he said, 'perhaps not wanting to see the souls in here. But there are lots of souls here... and I'm not afraid to say that I love you guys.'"

They must have just wanted to kick his rock star ass

It sounds nothing like Linkin Park IMO. Its metal and pretty damn cool metal too.

I like that slower mellow part, it makes a nice variation.

Is it just me or has the world forgotten about the whole Napster/Metallica thing. No one really talks about it anymore which is a good thing.

People still whine over the napster incident... ironically many "fans" make fun of Metallica for their stand, but as soon as someone tries to spread mp3's of their favourite band they start spitting chips!
