For me it's make a playlist of next year's lineup and listen to it...start rediscovering some music!
And go back and edit my old playlist with songs that I remember getting played as bonuses.

No, I wasn't travelling that far for a show. I was happy I was able to drive myself to the Pain Of Salvation show on Sunday. I will be at the Leperous show next Sunday, hopefully. (Unfortunately, next weekend is being eaten by training for work.)

First day back to work, and I've been spinning NEED and STREETS to help with the transition. At some point, gotta get started on homework for next year!

I was bummed before even got to the airport. I have never been in an area of soo many nice metal heads before. My brother was trying to psyc me out by saying festivals are horrible just because of the one he went too. Glad it was a fantastic time! Strat, Overkill, Jon Oliva, and Masterplan made the trip worth it along with all of the other bands.

SkiBumMSP and I already started. We listened to Dragonland on the plane, Hibria on the way home from the airport, and I listened to some Dynazty on the ride to work.

Listened to some Hibria while walking yesterday. Gotta love a band with a song called "Tiger Punch".

Another remedy...think about each of your favorite performances/songs.
Re-listen to them and try to re-panomize it happening again. It is awesome. I liked going back and trying to remember the songs where I was super surprised that were played...

Some examples:

Overkill's End of the Line - Never heard it before. So good.
Masterplan - Crimson Rider
Voodoo Circle - His Led Zepplin cover
