1408

Not the damn straight to dvd ones. What were you thinking? And I don't literally mean all but most. Secret window blows. Even most his tv movies were great.

The shining
The mother fuckin shaw shank redemption (awesome)
pet cemetery
christine
it (onlything that truly creeped me out when I was little)
the stand
cujo
carrie
children of the corn
silver bullet(was cool when i was little at least)
dreamcatcher(best movie about poop monsters ever)
storm of the century
1408
misery
salems lot
the langoliers
stand by me (!?!?) (not really)
The green mile

I'd say thats a good book to movie ratio right there.

By the way that reminds me I need to check out the dead zone movie. I'm sure it would make the list.

I found the Dreamcatcher film to be rubbish, but agree on pretty much the rest of the list.

PLUS I am rather fond of movies not listed there such as GRAVEYARD SHIFT, THE MANGLER (although , this movie is pretty bad hahah BUT IT STILL RULES), THINNER, and NIGHT FLIER. YEAH!

But as for 1408, I am coo-coo for cusack and yet again his performance did not fail. Though, the film did have it's share of flaws. Like that atrocious edit when the fire starts, and all of a sudden there's a cut and that overwhelming symphonic blast out of nowhere. Utterly terrible. And of course the few times they go for the cheap scare of *BAM* LOUD NOISE AND SOMETHING JUMPING OUT OF NOWHERE, mehhhhhhh. BUT there were many great truly scary/unsettling moments, which I applaud, and seeing how hardly any "horror" films branch into that genre these days, it is a welcome change to the current cinematic landscape.

I thought Dreamcatcher was fun!
I dug the whole Stand By Me/It aspect of it. It kind of lost me after Jason Lee died, I think.
