180 gram vinyl Sabbath is great

Out of curiosity about how good or bad the Sabbath re-issues by Earmark on 180 gram vinyl were I picked up 'Vol.4'. What first impressed me was the cover, amazing. Purists would be displeased as this is an improvement. The cover is like really heavy duty glossy photopaper, and the whole thing was in a heavy transparent plactic cover.

But it's the sound that really matters and wow, fantastic! I think I'm going to sell the Castle CD box set and get the other earmark re-issues.

Cool! Didn't know they had been reissued on 180 gram vinyl, will have to keep an eye open for them. Not long ago I picked up the first 4 Ramones albums reissued in 180 gram .... fantastic!

The earmarks are good but I think I remember reading that Rhino was doing a 180 gram 'Sabatoge'. I don't know if that's a one-off thing or they're doing the whole catalogue. I'm going to try and find out.
