So this is my first real time recording a band and mixing it down. Basically this is how we did it. They all played live at once. Mic'd the 2 guitars cabs, DI'd the bass. The drummer mixed his drums in a mixing machine and gave me a snare kick and hats+toms+Overhead mix. Vocalist stood in the other room and sang. They dubbed harmony's.
They didn't want to track each track individually. So i figured out ways to soundproof the room to help with bleed (Surprisingly did pretty well). So I recorded onto my 16 track and transferred them to reaper. And mixed there.
