I don't think he is but wearing a hat, he won't get any hair in his mouth while singing and since his technique rely a lot on breathing, I'm sure it already happened to him... Nothing is worst than cranking up some vocal line and some lock of hair gets stuck into your throat... It also absorbs sweat and prevents it from getting in your eyes ...
