Well I've posted two short clips on my myspace page testing out my new boss br1600. I'm still really new to recording so any tips would be really helpful for me. It's just hard to be objective with the sound quality of your own music so I need to see how other people hear it. Thanks in advance.

songs: "plague br1600" and "declare war br1600"

The only feedback I would give would be, if it's quadtracked like it sounds - watch the phasing because you're creeping into that chorusing effect in some of the parts. Sounds like some kinda tough riffing so it'll be a little rough but totally possible. The tone definitely sounds to fit the style so I would say great job achieving that challenging step!!!

Yeah I agree with you on the guitars. When I really take the time to sit down and record I'll try to be as tight as possible with the guitars. I actually track 6 guitars (1 hard left, 1 hard right, 1 80% L, 1 80% R, and two in the center) which might be overkill and contribute to that chorus effect but hopefully if I do it right it'll sound better. Thanks for the feedback.

I don't think you need those 2 tracks in the center. Just kinda kills the stereo effect for me.
