Yeah, I'll need to give a lot of these bands a listen as I'm fairly new to Power Metal as a whole. I only ever listened to Blind Guardian, Iced Earth, and assuming they're Power and not Death- Wintersun.

You should ask for some recommendations from people, Im sure you'll get some. Some members here, for example Dom and Michael are really into the genre. They could give you a good direction about what to check out next

Personally I really love DragonForce. Why dont you check them out? Inhuman Rampage would be a good album to start with

Yeah, theres alot to check out but it can be confusing for new listeners what to check out first

Bought that album on Amazon earlier, bought the CD+DVD edition and Amazon gives you the MP3 Download version for free straight after buying it. Listened to it earlier and I'm very impressed.

Might be only a matter of days before I buy a ticket for their Sheffield show.

I was going to link you some stuff from Silent Force - Rising from the Ashes cos it's got that 80s esque Eden's Curse-tinged sound \m/ Great album if you can give it a full spin!

Silent Force were a superb Melodic Metal band and I would highly recommend "Worlds Apart" and "Walk The Earth". Superb guitar work by Alex Beyrodt (as one would expect) and great vocals from DC Cooper. Their comeback album is a totally different beast but if you like solid hard rock then definitely give 'Rising from the Ashes' a listen. Not really Silent Force but still a very good album.
