This looks decent, probably wont go. Bones creak and need an oiling.

Wow. I might need need to head to Austin. It's kid-free weekend too. But its also 4th of july so Austin will be insane. Too many goddamn hippies.

Hells yes, bought 2 tix after I posted that. Or maybe before. Possibly simultaneously. I've been time traveling a wee bit lately.

Hate to tell you NAD, but they just cancelled the West Coast dates due to poor ticket sales. Another thing I hate to tell you is that I was at the first night in NYC and it wasn't a great show. The music was excellent (for the first hour), but his vocals were legitimately off key for the entire performance. After they wrapped up the album (Julius Caesar), they did an instrumental techno jam for 30 minutes that just repeated over and over again. I could see people starting to look around at each other like "Okay, when is this going to end?". I love new Ulver, and their last album is totally magnificent, but it just wasn't anywhere near the hype- plain and simple. I think word got out to the West that this is an experience better enjoyed with headphones.

:(

I wonder if I get my moolah back? That's a bummer, but it happens. I can't imagine what it takes to put on a Big Show from a Small Band like Ulver. They have a new album coming out in a few days it seems? I will give them the money. I will always give them the money.

I never thought new Ulver would work very well live, but the DVD was amazing, and that ASIGJ@RIJW*I@$SDKJV album was pretty good as well. But those are both "live" performances I suppose, manipulated after the fact to complete the work. Which is just fine of course.

I was thinking about grabbing a ticket for NYC, but it sold out almost instantly. I'm kind of surprised that they are playing St. Vitus, that place is pretty small for bands like Rotting Christ and/or Borknagar.

Also NYC fucking sucks and typically ruins my concert-going experience so whatever. Also I think there's 6 bands on the bill for that date and it's simply too many.

Ive seen RC, and they put on a good show. Plus I like their last few albums. Im mostly going for borknagar. Their newest is their best since their pre Vintersorg days.

Also seen abigail williams and remember liking them.

Ive heard Wolfheart is decent but dont know them
