Taking place from 12-15 January 2011, EuroSonic Noorderslag is gearing up to celebrate its 25th Anniversary. What started in the '80s as little more than a fun musical battle in De Oosterpoort between ten Belgian and ten Dutch acts, has now become one of the main platforms in the European music industry.

"EuroSonic Noorderslag celebrates 25 years in business. Together with the fact that there are a lot of very interesting and happening acts, this is a good reason to put the focus on the exciting and vibrant Dutch music scene" says creative director of EuroSonic Noorderslag Peter Smidt.

Consisting of a three day conference and showcase festival and over 2800 delegates, showcases by 260 artists and a conference program with 100 panels, keynote speakers, interviews and meetings, EuroSonic Noorderslag is the key exchange and networking platform for European music, European artists, international music industry professionals and organizations.

Conference starts a day earlier:

Testimonials:
'The whole event is in the beautiful town of Groningen and has a great vibe that comes with all early shows in bands careers. It just so happened that after our show, some of the audience became fans and thus asked us to play on some of the festivals and shows that they book and that was very flattering. From that show we were allowed to discover some beautiful areas of Europe over the summer'.' Charles Cave, White Lies (GB)
