THIS WEEK ON YOUR CLASSIC METAL SHOW: First and foremost, thanks again to author Billy McCarthy for stopping by the show, bringing his friends James Kottak, Athena Kottak, Robbie Krieger, Nadir D'Priest and Vinny Appice onto the show last week! What a crazy show it was!
On to this week, we're going to go a little bit obscure this week. First off, we bring you a new band called 3 OF A DIFFERENT KIND. This band features former Slash's Snakepit vocalist Rod Jackson on vocals, but comes with a completely different vibe than you might be thinking. We'll do a New Music Listening Party for their album, THERE'S A RHYTHM TO THESE STREETS, and Rod is scheduled to come on the show and talk about his new project, as well as revisiting some of his time with Slash and company. Also on the show, another relative unknown called Chrome Division. They latest release is called DOOMSDAY ROCK N' ROLL, and it reminds us a LOT of Motorhead! We'll be doing a new music listening party for DOOMSDAY ROCK N' ROLL as well! Finally, we'll be stretching a bit outside of our normal a bit to talk with a pretty well traveled musician named Phil Brown. While his name may not be familiar to you, it's almost a guarantee that if you listen to this show, you have CDs in your collection with his name in the songwriting and performing credits. Who has he worked with? What songs did he right? You'll have to tune into THE CLASSIC METAL SHOW this week to find out!
