4 Doors To Death

[Unspeakable Axe]

This has been in the works since late last year, and now is about to see the light of day - or the blackness of the grave. "4 Doors To Death" is a split full-length between four bands, three of which have previous releases in the Unspeakable Axe catalog. Cemetery Filth (of Johnson City, TN and Atlanta, GA) contribute three songs, as does TrenchRot (Philadelphia). Sabbatory (from Winnipeg) and Ectovoid (Birmingham) weigh in with two songs apiece as well. In all there are ten festering blasts of old school death metal in various styles and with disparate influences - including Death and Mortuary Drape, both represented here by cover songs.

This is the first preview track, "Consumption of Volition" by Cemetery Filth, featuring David Ingram (Benediction) doing guest vocals:


Finally, this release (which is coming on CD only for now) will feature one booklet per band - each one featuring lyrics, credits, band pic, and its own unique cover art. You can rearrange as you see fit to highlight your preferred cover, which were done by three different artists. An o-card that wraps around the jewel case will feature a sort of master cover with slices of all four artworks. Here is both the master cover and the one from Cemetery Filth's booklet; we'll unveil the other three as more preview tracks are posted later.

- The official release date on this CD had to be pushed back to Feb 19 due to a miscommunication with the distributor.
