I need to do a soundtrack for a video. I know that 48 kHz is the standard audio samplig rate for video tasks, but I´m used to work with 44.1, my samples are on 44.1 and I´m not sure if all my plugins work at 48, so I would like to keep it at 44.1.

Is it really a big deal to upsample the final result to 48 only when rendering the final track? I realize the mathematics of the upsample aren´t perfect, but is it really noticeable?

I mean, when people make videoclips or use licensed tracks on movies they just get a 44.1 song from a CD and upsample it to 48 and it works fine, right?

I'm not very experienced with audio/video things, but in the worst case scenario, it doesn't sounds like anything good dithering couldn't take care of.

No, it's not that big a deal.

It's a good idea to make sure that the final bounce is at 48kHz though.
