5150 preamp tubes, any ideas ?

HI guys,

I finally did my choice for the power tubes : I'll go for four new JJ 6L6 tubes.

Now I have to change my preamp tubes, and will begin with V1 and V2 which are the most important in the lead channel sound.
I'm interested in the Tung Sol ECC83 to put in V1, but I heard somewhere that it would end in really too much gain, the guy advised me to buy a Sovtek 12AX7 instead.
I plan to put a JJ ECC83S as V2 but not sure.

I use my amp to record its lead channel most of the time, so I need gain, dynamics, clarity, balance (huge bottom, grinding mids and high end sizzle). Any advice for those V1 and V2 ?

Ive allways liked the sound of the Sovteks. I dunno, i just find them more gritty than the JJ's, however the JJs do sound lush too.

JJ sound nice but are mid-heavy....not really necessairy in a 5150.
I prefer chinese in v1 and JJ in the rest of the 12ax7 slots

So you think JJ 6L6 as power tubes + Sovtek 12AX7 as V1 and V2 would be a good combo, or would you use other power tubes than JJ (Svetlana, Sovtek...) ?
