70's rock/Proto Metal

Maybe I'm ignorant but I haven't found a thread for 70's hard rock and proto metal. I've found myself listening to a lot of this stuff lately and I hope that there are others here who are interested. There were so many good bands back then and now very few of them are known to the world. So smoke 'em if you got 'em and let's get down to some band worship!

I know they're a progressive rock band, but are Jethro Tull any good? Worth checking out for someone who enjoys 70's hard rock?

I just recently found Dust due to their fucking awesome album artwork and loved it. Definitely a great band. Sir Lord Baltimore is damn amazing. You fags ever hear of Ashbury?
