Just finished up this mix for a friends solo project. He had a bunch of different friends do vocals so theres like 4 or 5 different vocalists

What do you guys think?

Guitars sound a bit cloudy, like there's a blanket over the speakers, as does the mix as a whole.

That's been a huge struggle of mine for the past year. it sounds good on my monitors but when I check on my hifi speakers they sound muffled. The guitars are the only thing low passed. Do you think thats just a result of poor mastering?

Unless you have an EQ going over the whole track, I don't think it's mastering-related. Find a way to bring that really high-end back into the mix and you'll be golden.
