80s fans go here!

I knew this thread would be for me.

I really have to go to some record fairs and pick up old Metal Edge magazines from the late 80s/early 90s. I'd love 'em, hehe. That page rocks, I wish metal was still like that now :(

Hahaha, from Warrant's "wild" road stories:

"We had a blast when we played with Skid Row in Pennsylvania. Both bands jammed on "Train Kept a-Rollin' and Sebastian and Jani stage dove. We went to a strip bar afterwards." - Erik
WOW!!!! You mean you guys stage dove and then went to a strip club? How ground breaking! Motley didn't have shit on you guys!

"After we did an in-store in Wilkes-Barre, PA, someone wrote "Warrant, we love you" in permanent magic marker on the bus. It was a bitch to get it off." - Steven
HOLY SHIT!!! I wonder why I never saw anything that "wild" on any of the Pantera home videos?

Haaaaaaaaaahahahahahahaha:

An article on Stryper says, "I'm tired of spending so much money on hairspray," quips Michael, who, like his cohorts, has been growing a beard. "I'm planning to keep mine," vows Oz, adding, "I'm tired of being a poser."

At least Oz admits to being a poser. But big hair really had nothing to do with it guys. It might have been that you guys looked like fucking bumble bees! And the last thing people wanted to see was bumble bees with beards.

This part is probably by favourite haha...

I see an ad from Enuff Z'Nuff's first record and it says:

A new band that wants to rock, with a new sound that proves they can.
A single called "New Thing" that really is.
An album called Enuff Z'Nuff that'll never be.
If you get it, you better get it.
If you don't, forget it.

If you get it, you better get it. If you don't, forget it.
Who was on the pipe when they came up with that slogan? With ads like that they were doomed from the start.

Hahaha also, I've been making a website lately on 80s glam bands, and when I was looking up bands I came across Cats In Boots, and they get a mention here too! Hahaha, check it out:

An article on Cats In Boots?
Cats in fucking Boots???

Cats In Boots sounds like a Broadway play, not a fucking metal band. Trixter sounds more metal than Cats In Boots. Why not Dogs In Panties or Pigs In Loafers?

Gerri says they have a "Rocking sound." Well that's specific. Thanks for clarifying that a band in Metal Edge had a "rocking sound."

Hahaha I love that last part!

That page is hilarious!

Hahahaha I just got this when I clicked there (from mark's post):

"Ahhh "Superdick" Metal Edge, my old love. I probably assfucked that issue Hell, I bought it non-stop for like 5 titty fucks"

Hahahahahha! You naughty boy Mark.

Yeah, I bought an issue a while back from 1980something that had Skid Row on the cover, the best bit was the interview with Tuff "We arent going to mess up our shot, we have worked hard and wont ruin it by doing stupid things" or something to that effect.
We are still waiting :D
