9 out of 10 in Metal Maniac for us!!!!!!

Nice dude. I was just gonna say, post that shit!

Also, post your MySpace URL again. I have a friend that's crazy about Samael and I imagine he'd probably be into you guys also.

holy shit, 15 posts after the fact I JUST now realized I passed 5,000. Fuck, I was gonna celebrate too :(

As soon as I get the article tonight, I'm gonna translate it and post it on here. Our band is called Skylab at www.myspace.com/theskylab. They also gave us demo of the month this month...here's the link for the magazine: www.metalmaniac.it/subterranea.htm

It started as a solo project by my drummer, which he did everything completely alone. We happened to meet by chance and he happened to mention, "oh, I have a small solo project that I'm working on", and I didn't think anything more about it as we were just jamming on Anaal Nathrakh covers and stuff. Then he showed me the first song, raw and un-mixed, and I immediately told him to scrap our jamming sessions and let's focus on Skylab...it was what I had been looking for for a long time.

As of right now, we're writing music for the second album and I've finished learning all the songs for the live sets of the first album, called "Artificial". You won't find any solos or finger olympics here, just strange, cold and clinical-type heavy music. Thanks again for the interest!

Here's the review translated from Italian to English:

Skylab is an adventurous project, a solitary work of the Friulano (Friuli is our region where we live) Emanuele Petrucci. Ten tracks of the black/industrial/cybernetic concept album that leaves a trace from the first listening. Everything is perfected, full of sudden openings created very well. The insane velocity of Strapping Young Lad plus the genius ferocity of Emperor form an interstellar journey escaping from cosmic burning dust that gives you wings. (FUCKING ITALIAN WRITING…DON’T ASK) But the entire work is surprising, screaming, rabid, full of astronomical cybersynths and extreme violence. Awesome…Kubrick and Asimov are applauding from the afterlife. Having said this, we’re waiting to see how Skylab will evolve now that it’s mutating from a one-man band to a bona-fide “normal” band, as written on their myspace page. Because also if the work of Emanuele is good, finding a more incisive singer will land you in a bigger arena. It’s impossible to imagine this band not having a contract for much longer. Amazing job.

Holy fuck. I never in a million years thought I would be a part of something with so much praise,. To be mentioned in the same breath as SYL or the mighty Emperor...I am humbled.

We just got contacted by Aural Records today...they do Theatres Des Vampires, VOID OF SILENCE, KONKHRA, etc.

Cross your fingers!!!!!
