In case some of you don't get the Century Media newsletter....
From the breathtaking winter landscape of Norway, Øystein G. Brun writes in to share what the band has been involved in recently:
"Borknagar is currently working on new material for the next album, still untitled. Most of the material is written with the rough plan for studio time in Autumn '02. We intend to use the same studio and engineer as on Empiricism. Musically it will be a continuation of the latest effort.
We've also been nominated (second time in a row) for the best metal album of '01 to receive the Norwegian Alarm award. The public has access to vote on their favourite album at www.alarmweb.org. Please vote!
The European MTV is gonna make a feature with Borknagar in the middle of January '02. The feature will be broadcasted at 'Spotlight' the 18th of February."
Anticipation is high for the North American release (with bonus multimedia materials) of Empiricism on January 22nd featuring new lead singer (and long-time friend) Vintersorg, which will be supported by a summer tour--their first appearance since 1999's Kings Of Terror Tour. Look for upcoming BORKNAGAR features in Revolver Magazine, Metal Maniacs, Brave Words & Bloody Knuckles, Unrestrained!, Pit Magazine, Eclipse and Rip N' Tear.
