Shave EP Release Text:
From the desk of A Crown of Amaranth: Released June 26 05
Hungover, ready to fall forward onto the floor and lie there imagining
what the world would be like if every artist had the freedom and
perseverance to bring a completely personal vision to the world. Thus
was born the "Shave EP": what could
possibly be the most singularly idiosyncratic vision ever brought forth
from the bowels of the underground.
Four tracks of dedicatedly odd music ranging from an intense cover of
Jay-Z's "Dirt Off Ya Shoulders" to blistering noise washes to
guitar-driven melodies wrapped around a telephone-pole bassline to
whispering tentacles of madness in audio form.
To underscore my dedication I have, as previously promised, shaved and
dually packaged a lock of my hair into every copy along with
hand-cutting all 50 sleeves, creating all the artwork, and
painting/burning each of the CD's. No printing, no help, just my own
sweat and hair.
Maximum Volume=Maximum Psychosis=Maximum Rock n' Roll
