A musical question for Mr. V

I'm ashamed to ask this, because I managed to note (pretty correct in my opinion) a few of your songs, but I can't get the Ödemarkens Son.

So, if you'd be kind, and just tell me the first three notes. I'll try to figure the rest out. If i fail, don't worry, I'll be asking for another hint.

There was talk of this earlier, and I promised the tabs to a lot of people, but I haven't had time to finish them. Well, I'm going to try and get this sorted out, and then I'll let you know, so anyone who wants them can send me a mail, and I'll send the tabs. Good enough?

I don't like to decode our music...the music stands for itself and is there for a reason, we couldn't express ourselves in any more accurate way than the songs themselves..so...

Does Mr.V always use Drop-D on all songs or does he use different tunings in different albums?

I think so, because on "Till Fjälls" he uses Drop-D and that's his first Album. And when I saw Vintersorg live he didn't change his guitar (as far as i remember)

I don't think he uses Drop D.
I mean, for example, Svältvinter would be almost imposible to play in Drop D. And I'm not sure for the Till Fjälls album also.
To me, it sounds like the plain E tuning.

In neither one of them do they play in droped D tuning. You can clearly see the fifths (quintachords). Btw. expect a mail soon.

Yeah, I've seen the tabs, but did you try to play them? It doesn't sound good in drop D and Mr. Marklund already said, no drops.

Horz: I tried to play astral and arcane and it sounded reasonably well, but I haven't checked for pitch correctness. I also don't have my Cosmic Genesis CD with me. So, if it's not Drop-D, is it D, E or something else? perhaps B, as someone said a part of the song wouldn't be playable very well in drop-d

Yes, i forgot about Astral and Arcane, that one is quite good. But I see no reason why to play it in drop D tuning whatsoever. It can as well be played in normal tuning. As it is. Cheers!

No, that's not what I'm saying..I'm saying that the only way we want to express ourselves reagard the essence of the song, is through the songs themselves....I mean if we could have expressed our emotions through a different canal we would have done so, the music itself is the most accurate way we can refer to the written material

But if others like to tab it down that's just fine!
