A question about Angela Gossow

Does she use much vocal effects or is her voice really THAT heavy? please answer me Andy. I have just got into Arch Enemy (great Job on the new album by the way) but is her voice really that heavy or does she fuck with it to no end to get it sounding like that?

A good mic and mic pre can go a long way to capturing the power in vocals like that. And I just got the new album today and must say that it sounds awesome.
