Yeah I always wondered why he didn't just get two bass drums. I thought that using a double pedal sometimes doesn't sound the same as having two seperate drums, but I am not a drummer so this is just what I heard.

I dont know anything about tuning drums, but my guess is it would be a pain to have both drums tuned exactly the same.
